What is HEARTLAND OWL? In 1982 several local women met to form a chapter in Kansas City, Missouri. In 1983 another chapter was formed in Johnson County, Kansas. In 2001 the two chapters merged in order to have a more powerful voice, and The Heartland chapter was born. Over the years a number of issues have been addressed through conferences, special programs, workshops and rallies. We also enjoy each other through social events such as holiday luncheons and summer potlucks. We are proud of our annual WOW (Women of Worth) award to recognize older women who have contributed significantly to the community.
