Why Join OWL?

Membership in OWL is open to men and women of all ages who are concerned about issues unique to women as they age. For example, women in this country are at least twice as likely to live alone and in poverty in old age. Some related issues include—

• Assurance of a secure retirement
• Assurance of adequate health care and preventive health information
• Assistance and recognition of the valuable unpaid contributions of women as caregivers
• Assistance in dispelling age stereotypes and age discrimination of midlife and older women
